Incredible place to visit! We arrived here after Paris and I could have spent so much more time here. We rode e-bikes through the smaller villages, wine tasted, strolled through town, visited the Hospice - something I almost did not do and I am SO glad I did! This town is incredibly charming, easy to get to and an absolute must! I am already dreaming about returning.

For those who love HISTORY , good food and fabulous wines,...
For those who love HISTORY , good food and fabulous wines, Bourgogne is the place to visit , and Beaune is the largest city in the area.
To make burgundy wine, you need special soils , and exposition to the sun at certain moments of the day.
That part of France had différent owners, at the time of CHARLES QUINT ( the fifth) was built "Les Hospices de Beaune".
Now it belongs to France, since a few centuries.
At that time, and it is partly true to-day, Churches, Monasteries ,were protecting people in case of war or illness ,and were the only school, as well .
With their magnificent coloured tiled roofs, their architecture, their furniture, their Museum, Les Hospices de Beaune are UNIQUE in the world !

Interesting walled town with cobbled streets and old buildings worth a look, particularly the iconic hospices de Beaune with its unusual roof tiles. A decent selection of bars and restaurants around and off the main square. Town easily accessible from the autoroute.

This is a Beautiful place!!
This is a Beautiful place!! And if you stay within the Ring road, everything is mere minutes walking distance. If you are a wine lover at all, this NEEDS to be on your bucket list!
A couple of things to be aware of: Accommodations vary Wildly in price and comfort, so shop around! Eating out in Beaune is extremely expensive, so if you are on a budget, a place with your own kitchen can be a great choice. Check out the local operating hours...they run differently than just about anywhere else I have been! And come prepared to walk...public transport here is not as readily available as other places in France!

Great town for a break from the bigger cities.
Great town for a break from the bigger cities. Plenty of history and intersting things to do and see. The old walled part of the town was fascinating with plenty of excellent restauruants and bars as well as places of interest. We walked the wall and it was a great way to get a perspecitve on the old town.
The location of the apartment was very good. A short, short walk to a wonderful boulangerie and the main streets.
The apartment was very spacious. Decor was minimal and appropriate. The bed was extremely comfortable.
Communication on how to access was very clear. The only issue was the information said my door was on the right and it was on the left. Could cause some issues trying to get key into someone else’s spot.
Loved being able to open the windows to listen to the birds and bells of Beaune.
Great location with secure parking (12 Euro overnight). Basic level hotel but breakfast was good. Rooms are compact but it is good stop over if you are travelling from England to the South of France. Beaune is a very nice town and therefore not surprising that hotels are premium priced. There are other budget and mid range hotels on the edge of town but then you can't walk in from there.
Location was good on the outskirts of Beaune and in easy reach of the Autoroute. As a budget hotel, it was as expected: basic but comfortable rooms and limited additional facilities. One bonus was the air conditioning in the room which made a warm night far better to sleep through. Indeed,we found the beds very comfortable. The hotel's location was also quiet.
My second stay only for one night as I was traveling back from Spain to Germany. Exceptional hotel and staff. Beaune is a hidden gem of a town. Tons of great restaurants and shops. We are planning a trip later this summer for an extended stay to take advantage of all the town has to offer. The hotel is highly recommended!
Hotel was clean and well presented. Looked a bit like an army barracks! Didn't realise it was a motel i.e. you can drive right to your room's door. Can't rate food as the restaurant was full so we had to drive into Beaune centre as there is nothing near the hotel.
Great little hotel, I have stayed many times en-route to various places in Southern France. I routed through Beaune on my way back from skiing just because I knew I would get a good night sleep and a nice breakfast in the morning before heading back to the UK.
Location was excellent
Shower was best of all hotels we stayed in during our trip
Bed was comfortable and roomy enough (for European accommodations)
Price was reasonable
Air conditioning was excellent since we were on the top floor
Great location about 10 min walk into Beaune and on the edge of the town where you can see vineyards for miles. Super beautiful little place to visit.
The hotel staff were friendly and the whole place was clean.
Comfortable, interior design excellent and different from other hotels, owner and staff extremely pleasant and willing to go out of their way to make the visit great. unusual in France to have tea/coffee set up
I don’t often write hotel reviews but wanted to do one for Novotel. We needed a hotel to stay about halfway between our travel from the Netherlands to south of France and picked this one.
The hotel was in a good location -easy walk to the centre, wiith a great breakfast. Staff were very friendly and helpful, their suggestion to eat at Le Parisien was a good one!
very good hotel if you don't want to spend an arm and a leg in Beaune ( which is best spent anyhow in wine and dining !)
clean rooms ( a bit small but ok )
